About
Just as your neighbour might collect stamps, mugs or coins, I collect images. Like my grandfather before me, and his grandfather before him. He taught me that paying attention to the world can turn it into magic, if you dare to let its beauty in. That is what photography is to me: pointing at something and saying, look at this, this matters.
I use my camera as an excuse to visit people and places that move me. Alongside portraits, I work on personal documentary series about how people and their surroundings shape, reflect and care for one another.
I love collaborating with makers in other mediums. I don't believe a photograph has to stand on its own to be strong. It is in dialogue, in that space between us, that things grow richer.
